The Trasta facility primarily handles the separate collection of paper and glass, managing vehicles and operations to ensure an efficient and organized service.
Management of Separate Waste Collection
The collection is divided between two dedicated warehouses:
Paper, Cardboard, Wood, and Polystyrene Sector: the Cooperative, with a team of about 20 operators, carries out outsourced collection services for paper, cardboard, wood, and polystyrene on behalf of AMIU in the Municipality of Genoa.
Glass Sector: the Cooperative, with a team of approximately 20 people, handles the glass collection service from bins, also on behalf of AMIU, in the Municipality of Genoa.
The vehicles used include those requiring a B driver's license, and for heavier loads, trucks that require a C license.
Collaboration with AMIU and Regional Tenders
Most of the work is assigned through contracts with AMIU and regional tenders. In addition to paper and glass collection, the service also extends to:
Fruit and Vegetable Markets: collection of polystyrene, wood, and plastic crates.
Fish Markets: collection of polystyrene crates during agreed-upon hours.
Experience and Growth
Since 1997, we have been operating in waste separation management, establishing ourselves as a reference point in the sector. The growth of separate waste collection has led to the expansion of services and the specialization of our staff.
